Origin & Heritage
Nain carpets originate from the city of Nain, near Isfahan in central Iran. Though weaving began here relatively late—around the early 20th century—Nain quickly gained fame for producing some of the most refined and precise Persian carpets ever made.

Artisanal Craftsmanship
Nain rugs are renowned for their incredibly fine craftsmanship, often woven with a wool and silk blend on a cotton or silk foundation. The Persian (asymmetrical) knot is used, with knot counts among the highest in the Persian carpet world.

Design Traits
Expect highly detailed floral motifs, central medallions, and arabesque patterns. The colour palette is elegant and soft—ivory, cream, pale blue, and navy—evoking a sense of purity and sophistication.

Time to Weave
Due to their extreme precision and fine weave, even medium-sized Nain carpets can take several months, while large or higher-grade (like 6La or 9La) pieces may take over a year.
